SMS / Text Messages Numbers
PrintYou can now add an SMS number for your guests to text the hotel directly (requires you to have an existing SMS number).
To add this number, log into OpenKey HOST with your management or owner level role. Click HOTEL and then VIEW on the OVERVIEW tile.
Click Edit on the General Information tile.
The SMS Number is located in this section. If the hotel has a Text phone number to communicate with guests, it can be added here. If this field has an SMS number entered, a button labeled TEXT HOTEL will appear in the HOTEL INFORMATION section of the OpenKey Application
IN THE APP
With an Active Key:
Click on MORE from the active key screen.
Click HOTEL INFORMATION
Click TEXT HOTEL
This will open the guest's native texting application with the SMS number auto filled as the recipient.
Without an Active Key
Search the city or state where the hotel is located and select the appropriate hotel.
Click TEXT HOTEL
This will open the guest's native texting application with the SMS number auto filled as the recipient.
